IPTV Multiple Devices: How Many Can You Use?

A common question before subscribing to IPTV is how many devices can use a single subscription, and whether multiple people in a household can watch different channels simultaneously. This guide explains how connections work.

What a connection means

A "connection" in IPTV terms refers to a simultaneous stream — a single active stream playing on a device at a given moment. If you are watching Sky Sports on your TV via Firestick, that is one connection in use. If someone else in the household is watching BBC One on a tablet at the same time, that is a second connection.

Installing on multiple devices

You can install your IPTV player with your credentials on as many devices as you like. The connection limit only applies when actively streaming simultaneously. You could have your credentials on a Firestick, a tablet and a phone — as long as only one is streaming at a time, a single-connection subscription is sufficient.

Multi-connection subscriptions

If multiple people in your household want to watch different channels at the same time, contact our support team to discuss a multi-connection plan. We can advise on the appropriate subscription for your household's needs.

Connection limit exceeded

If you attempt to stream on a second device when the connection limit is already reached, the second device will typically show an error or a buffering loop rather than playing the stream. Stopping the stream on the first device frees the connection for the second device.

Practical household setup

For a typical household where one person watches TV at a time, a single-connection subscription is sufficient even if credentials are installed on multiple devices. The key question is: how often will multiple people want to watch IPTV simultaneously on different screens?

Devices supported with one subscription

Your credentials can be installed on any number of compatible devices — Firestick, Smart TV, Android box, Apple TV, phone, tablet, PC, Mac. See our devices page for the full list. The number of simultaneous streams is governed by your connection limit, not the number of devices you have installed the player on.
