Samsung Smart TVs running the Tizen operating system support IPTV through compatible player applications. The process is straightforward but differs slightly from Firestick or Android TV setup. This guide covers the main methods.
Compatible Samsung TV models
Samsung Smart TVs from 2016 onwards (models running Tizen 3.0+) are compatible. Check your TV's model number and firmware version if you are unsure.
Method 1: Smart IPTV (SIPTV)
Smart IPTV is one of the most widely used IPTV apps for Samsung Tizen TVs. It is available directly from the Samsung App Store in most regions.
- Press the Home button on your Samsung remote
- Navigate to the Apps section
- Search for Smart IPTV
- Install and open the app
- The app will display your TV's MAC address — note this down
- Go to the Smart IPTV website on a computer or phone and register your MAC address, then enter your M3U playlist URL provided by IPTV UK Hub
- Restart the app on your TV — your channels will load
Method 2: IPTV Smarters on Samsung
Check the Samsung App Store for IPTV Smarters — it is available on compatible models. Once installed, use the Xtream Codes login with your IPTV UK Hub credentials.
Method 3: Firestick via HDMI
If your Samsung TV does not have a compatible app available, connecting an Amazon Firestick to an HDMI port is the most reliable alternative. The Firestick handles all IPTV processing and the Samsung TV simply acts as a display.
EPG on Samsung Smart TV
EPG data is loaded automatically by the IPTV player app. You should see the programme guide populated within a few minutes of the app loading your channel list. If EPG does not appear, check the app's settings for an EPG URL — your provider will supply this if needed.
Troubleshooting
If channels are not loading, verify your subscription is active and check that the server URL is entered correctly without trailing spaces.
