iPhone and iPad both support IPTV through apps available on the Apple App Store. The experience is fully featured — live TV, EPG, VOD and Catch Up all work on iOS.
Compatible apps for iOS
- IPTV Smarters Pro — available on the App Store, supports Xtream Codes and M3U
- GSE Smart IPTV — feature-rich, good EPG support
- Flex IPTV — simple interface, suitable for beginners
Setting up IPTV Smarters on iPhone
- Download IPTV Smarters Pro from the App Store (search "IPTV Smarters")
- Open the app and tap Add User
- Select Login with Xtream Codes API
- Enter your IPTV UK Hub credentials: server URL, username and password
- Tap Add User — the app connects and loads your content
Using an M3U URL instead
If you have an M3U playlist URL rather than Xtream Codes credentials, select Add via M3U URL in IPTV Smarters and paste your URL. The process is otherwise the same.
Streaming quality on mobile
On a 5G or strong 4G connection, HD streaming works reliably. On slower mobile connections, the player may automatically reduce quality. For home use over Wi-Fi, performance is equivalent to any other device on the same network.
Background audio
Some IPTV players support background audio playback on iOS, allowing you to listen to a stream while using other apps. Check the player's settings for this option.
Battery and data usage
Streaming HD video consumes battery and mobile data significantly. For extended viewing, connect to Wi-Fi and keep your device plugged in or on a stand.
Your iPhone credentials work alongside your Apple TV credentials — both use the same login from your IPTV UK Hub subscription.
