TiviMate is the premium IPTV player experience on Android TV. Its EPG grid, smooth playback and customisation options make it the preferred choice for users who want a full TV-like interface on their streaming device.
Installing TiviMate
On Android TV / Android box: Open the Google Play Store and search for TiviMate. Install the free version (TiviMate IPTV Player).
On Amazon Firestick: TiviMate is available on the Amazon App Store. Search "TiviMate" and install.
Adding your subscription
- Open TiviMate
- Select Add Playlist
- Choose Xtream Codes
- Enter:
— Server URL: from your IPTV UK Hub welcome email
— Username: from your welcome email
— Password: from your welcome email - Tap Next — TiviMate will connect and load your channel list and EPG
Alternatively, choose M3U playlist and enter your M3U URL.
Understanding the TiviMate interface
- TV Guide — the main EPG grid showing channels and their current/upcoming programmes
- Channel list — browse channels by category with a side panel
- Catch Up — access to recorded past programmes where supported
- PVR — TiviMate Premium includes recording to USB storage
TiviMate Premium features
TiviMate Premium is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks:
- Multiple playlists (useful for testing or backup providers)
- PVR recording to USB storage
- Catch Up support for supported channels
- PIN lock for parental control
Configuring EPG
EPG data loads automatically via Xtream Codes. If EPG entries are missing, go to Settings > Playlists > EPG and refresh. You can also manually enter an XMLTV EPG URL if provided by your subscription.
Customising the channel guide
- Add channels to favourites for quick access
- Reorder channel categories in Settings
- Filter the EPG to show only your favourite channels
- Adjust font size, guide columns and time display in Appearance settings
Troubleshooting
If the EPG is not loading, try refreshing your playlist in Settings. If channels buffer, check your network connection and refer to our buffering fix guide.
