An IPTV subscription includes not just live TV channels but also an extensive on-demand library of films. This guide explains how VOD film content works, what is available and how to access it.
What VOD means in IPTV
VOD stands for Video On Demand. In an IPTV context, it is the library of films and series available to watch at any time, separate from the live channel schedule. Your IPTV UK Hub subscription includes 170,000+ on-demand titles.
How to access the film library
In IPTV Smarters Pro, the VOD section is accessible from the main menu — tap "Movies" to browse the library. Films are organised by genre: Action, Drama, Comedy, Thriller, Horror, Science Fiction, Romance, Animation, Documentary and more. A search function allows you to find specific titles.
In TiviMate, VOD browsing requires TiviMate Premium or a compatible companion app.
Film quality
Films in the VOD library are available in HD (720p) and Full HD (1080p) quality where the source allows. Playback quality is determined by your internet connection speed — for FHD viewing, 15+ Mbps is recommended. See our internet speed guide.
New releases vs library titles
The VOD library includes a mix of recent releases and classic titles. The availability of very recent theatrical releases depends on when the film enters the digital distribution window — typically a few months after cinema release.
Difference from dedicated streaming services
Unlike Netflix or Disney+, IPTV VOD does not include exclusive original productions. The library consists of licensed titles from theatrical distribution. Subscribers who specifically want Netflix Originals or Disney exclusives would need a separate subscription for those titles. For all other film content, the IPTV VOD library provides extensive coverage alongside the live channel line-up — in a single subscription.
Series and box sets
Complete TV series are available in the Series section of the VOD area in IPTV Smarters, organised by show title with individual seasons and episodes. See our series guide for more.
